Located in Santa Maria Imbaro (Chieti, Italy) the Fondazione Mario Negri Sud (FMNS) is a non-profit organization for biomedical and pharmacological research.

The Mario Negri Sud Foundation (former Consorzio Mario Negri Sud/CMNS) has been officially established on September 19, 2013 by the Mario Negri Institute - Milan,  the Chieti Province authority, and the Abruzzo Region authority. Scientific activities, aimed at the prevention and cure of human diseases, operatively began on September 1st 1987 (as CMNS). Since then the senior staff of around 80 researchers has given a significant contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge internationally. The FMNS activities are also dedicated to training of predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows, including an International PhD Programme.

Contribution to the ASSEHS program

ICS represents the Health System in the South of Italy Region in ASSEHS and will participate in the implementation experience of Risk Stratification tools in the region.
