ASSEHS regions begin to work on areas for improvement

September 08, 2015

With the completion of the first period of the  ASSEHS project, in which the Risk Stratification strategies in the four participating Regions have been reviewed, a new phase starts. A more in depth evaluation, including potential ameliorations, has started. The aim is to find out and implement possible actions that improve Regional risk stratification programmes.

The ASSEHS research teams met with key informants of the health system during in March, April and May to identify areas for improvement in their stratification strategies.

Focus groups have been organized with different health care professionals involved in risk stratification implementation. These have included policy makers and managers but a special emphasis has been made to collect the clinicians' (as end users) experience.

Three areas of improvement have been identified in each Region: Professional training, risk stratification information and online and offline management. Specific actions are currently being organized and will be implemented and evaluated, within the whole strategies, during the next months of ASSEHS.
